Fungal nail infection, also known as “onychomycosis”, is a real and actual disease caused by microorganisms called “mycetes”. These can be fungi, molds or yeasts and find a fertile soil in warm and humid environments such as those present on feet. Experts estimate that nail fungi affect between 30% and 50% of the population; therefore, fungal nail infection is a fairly frequent phenomenon.
THE CAUSES
The main causes for fungal nail infections are microorganisms such as Aspergillus, Candida, Trichophyton and Epidermophyton that usually live on our skin. COMFORTABLE TO WEAR
Have the affected part take a bath in warm water for about 10 minutes. Dry it carefully.
Apply a small disc directly on the affected nail.
Use the occlusive plaster to fix and protect the small disc.
